Police charged the suspect, identified as 71-year-old writer Juraj Cintula in local media, with attempted murder Thursday. Cintula had been living in one of these flats for around forty years, according to a neighbour. According to a statement from the country's deputy prime minister, Fico's condition has stabilised but remains "very serious".
