According to a statement from the country's deputy prime minister, Fico's condition has stabilised but remains "very serious". The suspect charged with attempted murder of PM Robert Fico leaves court in Slovakia. Fico has been in hospital since Wednesday when a lone gunman shot him four times, including in the abdomen. The suspected gunman, identified by Slovak media as 71-year-old poet Juraj Cintula, arrived in a special penal court in Pezinok northeast of the capital Bratislava, which is due to decide on his pre-trial detention.
