Jeffrey Donaldson, the former leader of Northern Ireland's main pro-UK unionist party arrives to appear in court over alleged sex offences that have rocked the region's politics. Donaldson resigned as leader of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) on March 29 after police charged him with "historical" sexual offences against two complainants. Arrested in South Africa, Fulgence Kayishema, one of four remaining fugitives sought for their role in the 1994 Rwanda genocide, is set to appear in Cape Town Magistrate’s Court. Kayishema, a former police inspector, faces charges of genocide, complicity in and conspiracy to commit genocide, and crimes against humanity, for his role in the alleged murder of more than 2,000 Tutsis who had taken refuge in a Catholic church in Nyange, Rwanda.
