Rwanda genocide fugitive arrested in S. Africa to appear in court in Cape Town

Arrested in South Africa, Fulgence Kayishema, one of four remaining fugitives sought for their role in the 1994 Rwanda genocide, is set to appear in Cape Town Magistrate’s Court. Kayishema, a former police inspector, faces charges of genocide, complicity in and conspiracy to commit genocide, and crimes against humanity, for his role in the alleged murder of more than 2,000 Tutsis who had taken refuge in a Catholic church in Nyange, Rwanda.
