Pentagon confirms Khorasan group leader killed in drone strike

The Pentagon confirmed on Tuesday that the leader of al-Qaeda splinter organization the Khorasan group was killed earlier this month, Reuters reported.Muhsin al-Fadhli, part of the terrorist group Khorasan, was traveling on July 8 near Sarmada, a town in northwestern Syria close to the Turkish border when a U.S. drone targeted and struck his vehicle.
