US security threat related to Russian anti-satellite capability: White House

The White House confirms that a national security threat raised by US lawmakers involves Russia developing an anti-satellite weapon. "I can confirm that it is related to an anti-satellite capability that Russia developing," National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby tells reporters, adding however that there was "no immediate threat to anyone's safety."
