Official results indicate the People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola won 51.17 percent of the ballots against 43.95 percent for the main challenger the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA). Gambia's electoral commission announces the preliminary results in the country's presidential elections, in which incumbent President Adama Barrow is leading. Barrow, who ousted dictator Yahya Jammeh five years ago, is well ahead of his main challenger Ousainou Darboe in results published in the afternoon by the electoral commission for almost 40 districts, out of 53 nationwide.
