S.Africa turnout expected to exceed previous 2019 vote: electoral commission chief

Turnout in the South African general election is expected to exceed the previous poll in 2019 poll when 66 percent of registered voters took part, electoral commission chief Sy Mamabolo says. As he spoke in Midrand, thousands were still queueing outside polling stations after nightfall, just over an hour away from planned closure. SOUNDBITE
