Blinken says US 'not involved in any offensive operations'

Description

The United States has not been "not involved in any offensive operations", US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says following reports that Israel had carried out revenge strikes on Iran. "On the first question, the reports that you've seen: I'm not going to speak to that except to say that the United States has not been involved in any offensive operations", Blinken tells a journalist at a press conference on the Italian island of Capri, adding that the G7 is focused on its "work to de-escalate from any potential conflict" in the Middle East.
