US suspends diplomatic presence in Afghanistan, moves operations to Qatar: Blinken

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announces the United States has suspended its diplomatic presence in Kabul and transferred its operations to Doha, Qatar. "Given the uncertain security environment and political situation in Afghanistan, it was the prudent step to take," Blinken says during a briefing. SOUNDBITE
