JEUDI 23 MAI A 20H55 En 1968, Bezhig Little Bird, fillette amérindienne de 5 ans, ainsi que deux de ses frères et sœurs sont arrachés à leur famille par les services de protection de l’enfance sur la réserve de Long Pine, au Canada, puis placés à l’adoption. Seul leur grand frère, parti à la chasse avec son père, échappe à cet enlèvement. Désormais âgée d’une vingtaine d’années, Bezhig, renommée Esther Rosemblum par sa famille adoptive, vit à Montréal, prépare le barreau et se trouve sur le point de se marier. Le racisme larvé dont elle fait l’objet génère toutefois en elle un profond malaise, qui la pousse à partir en quête de réponses sur ses origines...
