Facebook Gets Rid Of Accounts Linked to Russian Troll Farm

Description

On Tuesday, Facebook announced it has removed 135 Facebook and Instagram accounts, and 138 Facebook pages linked to the Internet Research Agency. The IRA is known to be a notorious Russian troll farm that was recently indicted for trying to meddle in the 2016 US election. According to Facebook's Chief Security Officer Alex Stamos, 95% of the pages removed were in Russian and targeted people who speak Russian in neighboring countries like Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan.
