Volunteer rescuers roamed flooded streets of Houston on Sunday, searching for trapped and stranded people after large-scale floods in the wake of Tropical Storm Harvey. Rescuers used several different types of boats, including traditional rowboats and airboats powered by huge fans. At least one person was reportedly killed in the Houston flooding after torrential rain from Tropical Storm Harvey broke records and caused flooding not seen in decades.

Heavy rains have caused flooding in the east of Spain. In the Castelló province, firefighters rescued people trapped in their cars.
