Equipped with inflatable boats, Ukrainian military and police forces evacuate Kherson residents from the flooded areas of the city, following the collapse of Russian-held Kakhovka dam in the Kherson region. Ukraine is evacuating thousands after the dam's destruction unleashed a torrent of water, inundating two dozen villages and the city of Kherson. Some 200,000 people have now fled Sudan to escape fighting that erupted in mid-April, in addition to hundreds of thousands who have been displaced inside the country, says UN refugee agency spokesperson Olga Sarrado. SOUNDBITE
Heavy fighting in Sudan has led to 700,000 people being internally displaced since the middle of April, the United Nations says, adding the figure had doubled in a week.
