Spain’s government has decided to cut water brought from the Tagus River to irrigate crops in the bone-dry southeast of the country.
Italy’s farmers suffered through record-breaking droughts last summer. Winter has brought little relief.

The bomb was found by fishermen on the banks of the River Po, which has all but dried up in the valley's worst drought for 70 years.
Parts of northern Italy have already been rationing drinking water to try and deal with the problem.
