Chinese luxury smartphone maker Gionee its new M2017 smartphone, a device which the company claims can sustain 32 hours of talk-time as well as 26 hours of non-stop video play on a single charge of its 7,000mAh polymer lithium-ion battery. The company released two versions of the same model: a standard version of 128GB costing 6,499 yuan, or $933, and a customized 256GB luxury version costing 16,999 yuan, or $2,440 US.
A California start-up has developed a device that can charge smartphones with candles. Ben Gruber reports.

The phone's dust-proof, shock-resistant and water-resistant enough that it can survive a day at the beach, a four-foot drop down a hill and a dunk in a river (or toilet) for up to 30 minutes. The all-new Dodge Charger will be built at the Windsor (Ontario) Assembly Plant.The Dodge brand’s announcement of the all-electric Charger Daytona models and cleaner-running Hurricane engine-powered Charger SIXPACK offerings align with the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, in which electrified and more efficient propulsion systems will help Stellantis cut its global carbon footprint by 50% by 2030 and lead the transportation industry by achieving net carbon zero by 2038.
