The Champs-Elysées in Paris is almost deserted on the 5th day of confinement in France. 900 million people around the world are confined to their homes in the hope of stopping the coronavirus pandemic, which has already claimed more than 11,400 lives. IMAGES
It's not your average Monday morning on the Champs-Elysees. The Paris hotspot lies practically deserted on the 21st day of lockdown, while Place de la Concorde is no busier. France imposed a nationwide stay-at-home order from March 17 after shuttering all nonessential businesses. Officials have said the lockdown will last until at least April 15. IMAGES
