Yokohama, Feb 21 (EFE/EPA).-The remaining 450 passengers on the Diamond Princess cruise ship quarantined in the Japanese port of Yokohama began disembarking on Friday after testing negative for the new coronavirus and showing no symptoms.With this large group, the Japanese government hope to end Friday the disembarkation of all passengers from the ship, the 14-day quarantine period for which ended on Wednesday.It is estimated that more than 1,000 passengers who have tested negative for the virus have been able to return to their homes without restriction. Yokohama, Feb 11 (EFE/EPA).- Japanese authorities will allow elderly passengers and those with chronic illnesses to leave a cruise ship quarantined in the Japanese port city of Yokohama since last week, after 135 of the people on board have been infected with the coronavirus.These passengers on the Diamond Princess cruise ship could be allowed to disembark on Tuesday, according to Japanese news agency Kyodo, citing sources familiar with the case.The ship has been at Yokohama port since Feb. 3 when Japanese authorities denied it from disembarking and ordered it be quarantined.
