A photograph released in an ISIS propaganda magazine shows a can bomb, which is the same kind of bomb that supposedly took down Russian Metrojet 7K9268 over Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula last month.
Vladimir Putin and the head of Russia’s FSB security service confirmed a bomb brought down Metrojet flight 9268 from Egypt on October 31, killing all 224 onboard.
Aviation officials suspect the Russian plane that crashed on Saturday morning over the Sinai peninsula may have disintegrated while in mid-air, but explained it is still too early to draw conclusions.
