Panama City, Aug 19 (EFE) (Camera: Carlos Lemos) .- The International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) sent 37 tons of humanitarian aid to Haiti this Thursday from Panama, devastated by the 7.2 magnitude earthquake last Saturday, which left almost 2,000 dead and thousands more affected.FOOTAGE OF THE HUMANITARIAN AID THAT LEAVES PANAMA TO HAITI AND THE PLANE BEING CHARGED.
The head of the Ethiopian Red Cross Society says that 80 percent of the country's conflict-hit Tigray region is cut off from humanitarian assistance, warning that tens of thousands could starve to death. SOUNDBITE
