Description

South African police clash with proesters demanding "no bail" for the accused in the disappearance of a six-year-old girl whose mother has been charged with trafficking and kidnapping in a case that has gripped the nation. They were prevented from entering the Vredenberg magistrates court due to space and safety concerns, with the clashes taking place shortly before the accused arrived. Joshlin Rachelin Smith went missing in Saldanha Bay, a fishing town 135 kilometres north of Cape Town in February, sparking a massive search operation. She remains missing. Four suspects have been charged. IMAGES
