A strike over working conditions by air traffic controllers in France has ruined Easter week for thousands of travelers who've had to put their holiday plans on hold. Mana Rabiee reports.
Hundreds of flights are cancelled at French airports despite the country's main air traffic controllers' union dropping a call for a one-day strike after making a deal for higher pay. IMAGES
It is early on Monday morning and commuters are again confronted with uncertainty as they attempt to get to and from work at Saint-Lazare station in Paris. It is the 12th consecutive day of a nationwide strike against pension reform. IMAGES

The river Seine remained flooded after torrential downpours further upstream continued to cause disruption to transportation across Paris on Wednesday. Roads and tunnels near the river were closed. The Paris Regional C train (RER C) line was partially shut down. All river traffic, including cruise boats, was suspended because the raised water levels means they are unable to pass beneath the bridges. Some residents were forced to use a small boat to get to work, as roads and walkways near the riverbanks have become flooded.
