Heads of States arrive at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa for the second and last day of the organisation's 36th summit. More than 30 presidents and prime ministers are in attendance, as they discuss a slew of challenges facing the continent. Angolan president, Joao Lourenco, hosts talks in Luanda to discuss the rising tensions in eastern DRC with their neighbours, Rwanda. Several heads of state can be seen arriving, including the President of Burundi and former president of Kenya. Paul Kagame, the Rwandan president was not in attendance, instead Vincent Biruta, minister for foreign affairs represented the country at the summit. Eastern DRC has witnessed fierce fighting in recent months between Congolese troops and the M23 rebel group, prompting the East African Community (EAC) bloc to deploy a joint regional force to quell the violence.
