Nearly a thousand demonstrators have gathered in western France in the city of Nantes at the call of several left-wing organisations, including La France Insoumise (LFI), to protest against Emmanuel Macron's “coup de force” following the appointment of French conservative politician Michel Barnier as Prime Minister.
