French Interior Minister Gerard Darmanin told French lawmakers that an immigration bill they were to vote on would regularize the situation of double the amount of undocumented workers. SOUNDBITE
The French Senate adopted an immigration bill after it won the support of the far-right under Marine LePen. The bill, a flagship reform for President Macron, will be voted on at the Assembly later in the evening. SOUNDBITE
The Law committee at France's National Assembly begins going throught nearly 1,500 amendments to the Immigration bill, some designed to undo the text passed by the Senate, others to make it even tougher. The committee aims to produce a text that can be voted on by a majority of MPs by Sunday. IMAGES
