"Global growth in 2020 will dip below its last year's levels," says International Monetary Fund chief Kristalina Georgieva, "but how far it will fall and how long the impact will be, is still difficult to predict." Global growth will disappoint next year and the outlook for the medium-term has deteriorated, according to the head of the International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde. David Pollard reports.
The International Monetary Fund slightly lowers its outlook for the global economy, predicting the global economy will grow by 2.8 percent this year and three percent in 2024, a decline of 0.1 percentage point from its previous forecasts in January. SOUNDBITE
