Southern California Is In Chaos Amid Mudslides

Description

According to Reuters, there have been at least 2 deaths reported in the wake of powerful rainstorms that triggered flash flooding and dangerous mudslides in California. Thousands of residents have evacuated their homes in Southern California. Mudslides are burying homes on slopes where a series of intense wildfires burned off protective vegetation last month. The National Weather Service reports rainfall totals ranging from 2 inches (5 cm) to 4.5 inches (11 cm) in the area.
