A Russian strike leaves a residential building in the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia with a massive hole, with many of the apartments within collapsed and in ruins. According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Oleksandr Starukh, at least one person died and 5 were injured as the result of attack. IMAGES
This devastating drone footage shows the shocking aftermath of a gas explosion in Russia's Volgograd which completely gutted out the entire middle section of an apartment building, as if it had been split in two. At least two people died in the blast, which caused the whole central block to collapse. It is unknown just how many people were in their homes and minding their own business when the blast occurred, authorities have not given out information regarding the amount of people still trapped beneath the rubble of what used to be home sweet home. According to Andrei Bocharov, the Governor of the Volgograd Region, the gas explosion in the four-story residential building occured as a result of a damaged pipeline, which reportedly occurred when construction workers tried to access the pipe without complying with safety standards. The rescue operation is ongoing.
