Olympics - Cycling BMX event explained

Description

Olympic Park - BMX Track will host the Cycling BMX event for the 2012 London Games. The men’s track is 450 meter long and the women’s is 440 meter long. Both outdoor tracks consist of jumps, berms and banked corners. The race will start on an 8m high ramp and each race lasts around 40 seconds.

    In water polo event, teams consist of 13 players, but only 7 are allowed in the water at one time. Matches are divided into four periods of 8 minutes. Each team has just 30 seconds to attempt to score. The pool measures 20 meters wide, 25-30 meters long and 2 meters deep. Player are not allowed to touch the bottom or sides of the pool.
