US-Russia talks on Syria end without a deal

Description

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov were unable to strike a deal for a ceasefire in Syria after they met at the G20 in China. As talks between their governments failed, US President Barack Obama and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin were conversing on the sidelines of the Group of 20 summit. Details of their informal meeting were expected to be released later Monday, but officials already said Syria and Ukraine would be their priorities.
