Manila, Feb 9 (EFE/EPA).- People in the Philippines staged a demonstration Tuesday outside the Supreme Court in Manila to protest against the anti-terrorism law approved in 2020.The high tribunal conducted hearings Tuesday on petitioners asking the court to declare the anti-terror law as unconstitutional.The Government of the Philippines has insisted, however, that the new law will respect human rights such as freedom of demonstration and that it is aimed at jihadist groups related to the Islamic State with a presence in the country and the communist guerrillas.
