On the second day of his visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Belgian King Philippe meets Felix Tshisekedi at the Palais de la Nation for a joint press conference. The Belgian king's visit to Kinshasa has been touted as an attempt at reconciliation between Belgium and the Democratic Republic of Congo. King Philippe is himself a direct descendant of King Leopold II who personally ruled the Congo Free State and oversaw many atrocities committed against the Congolese people. IMAGES
