A rare white rhino was born at Amneville zoo in eastern France. The southern white rhino is an endangered species with only 20,000 animals alive today. The newborn rhino joins three baby white tigers which were born at the same zoo on 30 June.
A rare white tiger, named "Nieve" -- snow in Spanish-- was born at the Nicaragua zoo, and is being raised by humans after its mother rejected it.
A Rothschild giraffe calf weighing 57 kilos and measuring 1.75 m tall is on display at the Amnéville zoo where she was born on 28 September 2020. The species is one of the most endangered distinct populations of giraffe on the planet.
