Christianity in northern Europe is in rapid decline, and there may be no better example of that then the St. Martin Church. The 950-year-old St. Martin Church, in Elstertrebnitz, near Leipzig, showed up for sale on the online auction site 'eBay kleinanzeigen' in December, attracting instant media attention. The church is valued at €170,000 ($208,562) on the eBay kleinanzeigen website. No word yet on offers or bids.
This Colt pistol is one of the most notorious weapons in Russian history. Bullets fired from this pistol were responsible for the death of the Nicholas II, the last Tsar of the Russian Empire, an assassination which led to the rise of communism in Russia and which would alter the course of history. Nicholas II, the last monarch of the Romanov dynasty, ruled from November 1 1894 until his forced abdication on March 15, 1917. Nicholas II and most of his family were executed in the basement of the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg on July 17 1918, ending 300 years of dynastic rule by the Romanov family. The death of the Tsar and his family helped to usher in the Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin, and to cement their grip on the reigns of power in Russia.
In footage courtesy of the Columbus Police Department, Columbus Police Chief Kim Jacobs confirmed on Thursday that one of her officers had shot dead a black 13-year-old male, identified as Tyre King, after he was seen holding a BB gun during a police search for assailants in an armed robbery. The weapon recovered from the scene was identified to be a BB gun. Jacobs showed a replica image of the gun to press.
