The Battle for Ukraine: Russia Rejects More Talks as Donetsk Fighting Intensifies (part 1)

Description

In the dead of winter, a new low for eastern Ukraine. Fighting for control of Donetsk airport is now fiercer than ever. Kiev accuses seperatists of getting fresh backup from Russia, while pro-Russian seperatists are talking of a massive offensive backed by nationalist Ukranian militias. The renewed fighting comes at a time when EU leaders had hoped to ease sanctions that are bad for business all round. How is the implosion of eastern Ukraine impacting on the continent as a whole?
