As the murder trial for the death of “American Sniper” Chris Kyle and fellow veteran Chad Littlefield continues this week, more details about the accused killer, ex-Marine Eddie Ray Routh, have been released. The defense team hopes that many of the details regarding Routh’s behavior after the murder will buttress their claims that Routh was temporarily insane at the time of the murders.
Former Marine Eddie Ray Routh, 27, is being tried for the 2013 murder of “American Sniper” Chris Kyle, 38, and the murder of another veteran, Chad Littlefield, 35, at a shooting range in Texas.

Fourniret, known as the "ogre of the Ardennes", was charged with abduction, rape and murder in the cases but died in 2021, aged 79, before he could be brought to trial. IMAGES
Four men accused of murdering 298 people in the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 in 2014 went on trial in the Netherlands, with a judge saying it was an "atrocious disaster".
