Two South Korean hospitals are conducting experimental blood plasma treatments on Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) patients, Reuters reports.
The World Health Organization is warning that the outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in South Korea is likely to get worse, as more than 1,300 people remain under quarantine Wednesday, while confirmed cases of infection has grown to 30 people.
South Korea begins its nationwide coronavirus drive Friday as it seeks to inoculate 70 percent of its population within seven months to stamp out the outbreak. More than 5,000 medical staff at nursing homes and rehabilitation centres and their patients under 65 are set to receive their first doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine on the first day of the campaign.
