The Empire State building lights up in red during the last night of the #HeroesShineBright campaign to symbolize a red heartbeat and to bring global awareness regarding those who are involved in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The nine-day initiative started on April 24 in New York and each night a different colour is used to salute various groups including healthcare staff, transport workers as well as police and military personnel. Other landmarks all over the world have also joined the campaign. IMAGES
