The Empire State building lights up in red during the last night of the #HeroesShineBright campaign to symbolize a red heartbeat and to bring global awareness regarding those who are involved in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The nine-day initiative started on April 24 in New York and each night a different colour is used to salute various groups including healthcare staff, transport workers as well as police and military personnel.
