Mexican chef Juan Licerio Alcala, who works at the Grand Velas Los Cabos luxury hotel in Mexico's Cabo San Lucas, has unveiled his latest offering - the world's most expensive taco. The golden taco is only available to the most affluent guests. Just to have a chance to order the taco, customers must already be staying in the hotel's luxury presidential suite and pay a $12,500 deposit. Then, if the well-to-do client still has enough pocket change left, they must pay $25,000 to order the ground-breaking gastronomic experience. While many may scoff at the taco's price, Alcala said the gold taco was worth every penny since it is a totally one-of-a-kind culinary dish featuring the finest ingredients in Mexico and Europe.
