Activists protest to demand removal of Christopher Columbus statue in London

London, Oct 12 (EFE).- Young activists from the Extinction Rebellion group stained red paint Tuesday on the statue of Christopher Columbus outside the Spanish embassy in London. In the statement sent to EFE, the group demanded the removal of Columbus statue as it represented the beginning of the "European invasion" of America in 1492, which caused numerous deaths among the indigenous people.
