New lava flow causes great destruction on Spain’s La Palma island

Santa Cruz de La Palma, Oct 9 (EFE).- The new lava flow from the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma is causing "tremendous destruction”, Canary Islands Volcanology Institute (Involcan) said Saturday.Involcan published images of the flow saying it was hindering the movement of scientists in the area as the volcano resumed releasing lava earlier in the day.
