Yashin faces up to 10 years behind bars for denouncing President Vladimir Putin's offensive in Ukraine. A Russian court sentences top human rights campaigner Oleg Orlov to two and a half years in jail for denouncing Russia's offensive against Ukraine. The judge finds Orlov guilty for "committing a crime under article 280" ("calls for extremist activity") and orders "imprisonment for a period of two years and six months." A group of 16 foreign nationals from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus go on trial in a Polish court on charges of espionage, preparing acts of sabotage and gathering information for Russia.
