Moscow, Managua discuss possibility of vaccine production in Nicaragua

Moscow, Jul 19 (EFE / EPA) .- (Camera: Fernando Salcines / Sergei Ilnitsky) The Russian Foreign Affairs Minister, Sergei Lavrov, and his Nicaraguan counterpart, Denis Moncada, addressed on Monday the possibility of producing the Russian coronavirus vaccines in the Central American country.FOOTAGE OF THE MINISTERS' THE PRESS CONFERENCE.SOUNDBITES OF SERGUEI LAVROV, FOREIGN MINISTER OF RUSSIA.Translation: "Nicaragua was one of the first countries to register the Sputnik V vaccine. In May, along with Venezuela, Nicaragua also registered the Sputnik Light vaccine. We have delivered more than half of the agreed supplies, 300,000 doses, and now the corresponding entities in charge of the process discuss the dates for the supply of the remaining doses. Tomorrow there will be a meeting of the Minister and his delegation at the Fund for Direct Investments of Russia. We consider that the delivery of the remaining doses is an undoubted priority."
