Authorities inspect Kiev crime scene where Belarusian dissident was found hanged

Description

Forensic scientists work at the crime scene in a Kiev park where a missing Belarusian dissident was found hanged. The police have opened a murder probe into the death of 26-year-old Vitaly Shishov. Opposition supporters are accusing Alexander Lukashenko's government of killing the activist, who had helped his compatriots flee repression. Shishov was head of the Belarusian House in Ukraine, a non-governmental organisation, and was involved in helping Belarusians to settle in Ukraine and in staging anti-government protests. IMAGES
