In the deadliest shipwreck recorded in 2020, at least 140 migrants have drowned off the coast of Senegal. More than eight tonnes of hashish were seized in Ibiza, Balearic Islands, during the night of Sunday to Monday when a customs patrol came across three vans driving with their lights off, the Spanish tax agency said on Wednesday. Santa Cruz de La Palma, Oct 5 (EFE).- Some 250,000 tons of sulfur dioxide (SO2) have been expelled into the air since the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma started erupting on September 19, the Volcanological Institute of the Canary Islands (Involcan) reported.The volume of gas is possibly higher due to the limitations of the equipment being used to measure emissions, Involcan added.
