Police secure the area surrounding the site of a hostage situation, blocking access to the Aligre road after arresting a knife-wielding man who had taken two woman hostage in a shop in the 12th arrondissement in Paris. Following long negotiations led by the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI) the man released the mother unharmed, shortly before 10 pm before being arrested the following morning after releasing the second hostage after 8 am, unharmed.
