'Art makes it hard to commit an act of violence,' says Afghan resistance artist Farshad from Paris

Description

An artist from Afghanistan whose murals are known for their message of "peace and tolerance," says his works have been "painted over" during the Taliban's takeover. Farshad speaks of the trauma and frustration of seeing friends destroy their art before it falls into the hands of the Islamist leaders. But in a world with internet and art just "one click away", Farshad believes Afghan art and culture will outlive the reign of the Taliban.
