Macron visits school on first day of class amid Marseille visit

French president Emmanuel Macron, on a visit to Marseille, arrives at a primary school on the first day of the new school year, with Education Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer and Socialist Mayor Benoît Payan. Macron is later expected to announce plans for major investment in Marseille, France's second city but one which has been beset by drug crime, gangland shootings and poor infrastructure. IMAGES
