Ukraine's top diplomat calls for the UN Security Council to convene an emergency meeting following the partial destruction of the strategically important Russian-held Kakhovka dam in southern Ukraine. The United Nations Security Council calls for a ceasefire in Sudan to coincide with the Muslim holy month of Ramadan as conditions in the country deteriorate.
