Madagascar opposition says 'does not recognise' presidential vote

Description

"As we announced the day before yesterday, we do not recognise these elections," says opposition candidate Hajo Andrianainarivelo at a press conference in the capital Antananarivo. The first round of Madagascar's presidential election appears to have resulted in a very low voter turnout. Tensions are running high between incumbent Andry Rajoelina, who has voiced confidence in being re-elected, and ten opposition candidates who have called for a boycott of the vote. SOUNDBITE
